Biography
Overview
Pat Fallon is a Republican U.S. House representative from Texas's 4th congressional district, serving since 2021. A businessman and former Texas state legislator, he was previously a member of the Texas House (2013–2019) and Texas Senate (2019–2021). Fallon is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and served in the U.S. Air Force for four years. He is the CEO of Virtus Apparel, a clothing company specializing in military and patriotic designs.
Career
In his U.S. House tenure, Fallon has focused on defense and cybersecurity legislation. He was selected by Republican Party chairs to replace John Ratcliffe as the congressional nominee in 2020 and won the general election with 75% of the vote. He served on a bipartisan task force investigating the attempted assassination of Donald Trump (announced July 2024). He was involved in a notable hearing in December 2024 where he criticized Secret Service leadership. His legislative efforts center on securing defense supply chains and federal cybersecurity, reflecting his committee assignments.
Prior political experience
Fallon was elected to the U.S. House in 2020 after being selected by 18 county Republican Party chairs and precinct chairs in Texas's 4th district to replace John Ratcliffe. He won the general election decisively with 75% of the vote against Democrat Russell Foster, with 22% of the vote. The district was described as so heavily Republican that the county Republican chairs' choice of Fallon effectively determined his election. Before his House election, Fallon served in the Texas House (winning with 83.2% in 2012, about 70% in 2014, and 80.8% in 2016) and Texas Senate (winning with 73.9% in 2018).
