1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using VoterBloc ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Platform. We may update these terms from time to time, and your continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
2. Account Registration
To use certain features of the Platform, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the security of your password
- Accept responsibility for all activity under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
You must be at least 18 years old and a United States citizen or permanent resident to create an account.
3. Voter Verification
VoterBloc offers optional voter verification to confirm your voter registration status. By using this feature, you consent to VoterBloc checking your information against publicly available voter registration records. Your verification status is used to confirm your bloc membership counts toward real electoral weight and is not shared publicly.
4. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Create fake accounts or misrepresent your identity
- Submit fraudulent voter verification information
- Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users or elected officials
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to manipulate bloc membership counts or campaign metrics
- Scrape, crawl, or automate access to the Platform without permission
- Interfere with the Platform's operation or security
5. Content & Posts
You retain ownership of content you post on VoterBloc. By posting content, you grant VoterBloc a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote your content within the Platform. You are solely responsible for the content you post.
6. Campaigns & Bloc Membership
When you join a bloc, you signal support for the campaigns that bloc collectively adopts. This is political expression, not a legally binding contract. VoterBloc does not enforce or monitor how you actually vote. How you ultimately vote is always your private decision.
7. Intellectual Property
The VoterBloc name, logo, and Platform design are the property of VoterBloc. You may not use our branding without prior written permission. The Platform's source code is available under the terms of its open source license where applicable.
8. Limitation of Liability
VoterBloc is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for the actions of elected officials, the outcome of elections, or decisions made based on information on the Platform. To the maximum extent permitted by law, VoterBloc shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately, though certain provisions of these terms survive termination.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of California.
